Foreign Teacher is a networking platform designed to connect users with agents representing educational institutions in China. Foreign Teacher is not a recruitment agency and does not assume any responsibility for securing employment for its users. The platform serves as a portal where users can upload and submit their personal information in accordance with the criteria required for a Chinese Z Visa. This includes, but is not limited to, verifying that the user meets the qualifications outlined by the government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Foreign Teacher’s service is considered complete once the information provided by the user is submitted to the appropriate agent representatives in China. The company’s role ends at this point, and any further communication or employment arrangements are outside the scope of Foreign Teacher’s responsibilities.
Restrictions:
Foreign Teacher operates under the visa regulations set by the government of the PRC. Only users who meet the following criteria will be referred to agents representing schools in China:
• Must be a native English speaker.
• Must be a national of one of the seven recognized native English-speaking countries.
• Must be aged between 21 and 59.
• Must have held a Bachelor’s Degree for at least two years.
• Must possess a minimum of a 120-hour TEFL qualification.
• Must have a clean criminal background.
Foreign Teacher will only pass information to agent representatives in compliance with U.K. anti-discrimination laws and in accordance with Chinese visa regulations.
2. User Rights and Responsibilities
Foreign Teacher provides its platform for the benefit of users, offering access to information and networking opportunities with agents representing educational institutions in China. While users are encouraged to make full use of the content provided, they are subject to the following rights and responsibilities:
2.1. Intellectual Property and Content Sharing
All original content hosted on the Foreign Teacher platform is the intellectual property of Foreign Teacher. Users are permitted to share this content on social media platforms, provided that such sharing includes the Foreign Teacher logo and a link to the platform’s website. Unauthorized use of Foreign Teacher’s content without proper attribution may result in account termination or legal action.
2.2. Compliance with Law
Users must ensure that all activities conducted on the Foreign Teacher platform comply with local, national, and international laws. Illegal activities, including but not limited to intellectual property violations and abuse of the platform, will not be tolerated and may result in account suspension or legal proceedings under U.K. law.
2.3. Non-Political Nature
Foreign Teacher is a non-political organization and does not take any position on international or domestic political matters. The platform’s services are not influenced by political relations, whether positive or negative, between nation-states or ethnic groups. Issues such as war, human rights abuses, or other international affairs fall outside the scope of Foreign Teacher’s responsibilities and purpose.
2.4. Independence from Governmental Entities
Foreign Teacher operates independently of any government or state. It is not employed, funded, or officially representative of any government or its representatives. The platform’s services and operations are conducted without governmental influence or affiliation.
By using the Foreign Teacher platform, users acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms. Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in account termination or further legal action.
3. Account Creation and Termination
Users of the Foreign Teacher platform are required to create an account to access the service. The following terms apply to account creation and termination:

• In cases where violations of law or terms are detected, termination may be accompanied by further legal action under U.K. law.
3.3. User-Initiated Account Termination
• Users may request to terminate their account at any time by contacting Foreign Teacher through the provided channels.
• Upon account termination, users understand that their information will no longer be accessible on the platform, and Foreign Teacher is not obligated to maintain or store any data once the account has been closed.
3.4. Effect of Termination
• Once an account is terminated, whether by the user or Foreign Teacher, the user’s access to the platform will be immediately revoked.

4. Payment, Fees, and Billing
Foreign Teacher is a completely free service for its users. The platform operates exclusively with agents who also provide their services at no cost to users.
At no point during the process will users be required to pay any fees for using the Foreign Teacher platform, nor will they be charged by the agents referred through the platform. Foreign Teacher does not impose any hidden costs, subscription fees, or service charges.
Users should be aware that any attempt by third parties to solicit payments for services associated with Foreign Teacher is unauthorized and should be reported immediately.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All rights to the Foreign Teacher platform, including but not limited to the website, content, graphics, logos, and any other material provided by the service, are owned exclusively by Foreign Teacher. This includes both the content created directly by Foreign Teacher and any materials hosted on the platform.
Users are permitted to share content from the Foreign Teacher platform on the condition that:

Foreign Teacher is not responsible for the actions or decisions of third parties, including agents, educational institutions, or governmental bodies, that may affect the user’s application or employment status. This includes, but is not limited to, rejections based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability, or any other discriminatory factors. Foreign Teacher operates in compliance with U.K. anti-discrimination laws and works with agents who offer their services without imposing discriminatory practices. However, Foreign Teacher cannot control or be held liable for discriminatory practices carried out by third parties outside its direct control.
7.3. Data Accuracy
Foreign Teacher is not liable for any consequences arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by users during the registration or submission process. Users are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information they provide.
7.4. Platform Availability and Errors
While Foreign Teacher strives to ensure that the platform is available and functions properly at all times, the company cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. Foreign Teacher is not liable for any disruptions, technical issues, or data loss that may occur during the use of the platform.

If the force majeure event persists beyond a reasonable period, either party may terminate the agreement without liability, except for obligations that arose prior to the force majeure event.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable from the remaining provisions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining terms. The remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Foreign Teacher will not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, war, strikes, or technical failures.
17.6. Relationship of the Parties
Nothing in these terms creates or will be construed as creating a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between Foreign Teacher and the user. Users act solely as independent entities in their use of the platform.
17.7. Third-Party Rights
These terms are not intended to confer any rights or benefits on any third party, except as explicitly stated. No third party shall have the right to enforce any provision of these terms.

The section headings used in these terms are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.
18. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using the Foreign Teacher platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Your continued use of the platform following any changes to the Terms and Conditions signifies your acceptance of any updated terms. 3. Purpose of Data Collection
The primary purpose of collecting your personal information is to assess your eligibility for a Chinese Z Visa, which is required for securing teaching positions in China. This preliminary vetting helps streamline the process of connecting you with recruitment agents in China for teaching roles.
4. How Information is Used
The personal information collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:

To verify your qualifications, such as your TEFL certification, bachelor’s degree, and confirmation of a clean criminal background.

• Optional Review of CV
If you choose to upload a CV, it will be used to gain a more comprehensive understanding of your qualifications and experience.

If you meet the necessary criteria for a Chinese Z Visa, your personal information will be disclosed to recruitment agents in China who assist with the placement process for teaching positions. This information will be shared solely for the purpose of facilitating your recruitment and placement in a teaching role.
If you do not meet the eligibility requirements, your personal data will not be shared with any third parties, and the process will end with us.
We do not sell or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing or other unrelated purposes.
