Arrival in Hohhot


Morning


Arrival

Arrive in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia.


• Transfer to your hotel and rest after your journey.


• Time: 1-2 hours (depending on flight/train schedules).


Afternoon


Dazhao Temple

Visit the city’s largest and oldest Tibetan Buddhist temple.


Time: 1-1.5 hours.


Inner Mongolia Museum

Explore the Inner Mongolia Museum to learn about local history, nomadic culture, and the grasslands ecosystem.


Time: 2 hours.


Evening


Enjoy a welcome dinner featuring traditional Mongolian dishes, such as roasted lamb (shoupa rou) and Mongolian milk tea.

Day 2

Xilamuren Grasslands Experience


Morning


Journey

Drive from Hohhot to the Xilamuren Grasslands.


Travel Time: 1.5–2 hours.


Yurt

Participate in a hada ceremony and settle into a Mongolian yurt.


Time: 30 minutes.


Afternoon


The Grasslands:


Horseback riding:

• Explore the expansive steppes.


Time: 1–1.5 hours.


Meet Herders:

Learn about their lifestyle.


Time: 1 hour.


Archery or games:

Try traditional Mongolian sports.


Time: 1 hour.


Evening


Bonfire

Bonfire party with Mongolian singing and dancing.


• Time: 2 hours (7:00 PM–9:00 PM).


Mongolian barbecue dinner:


Time: 1 hour.

Day 3

Huitengxile Grasslands and Return to Hohhot


Morning


Huitengxile Grasslands

• Visit the nearby grasslands, known for its rolling hills, colorful wildflowers, and wind turbines scattered across the horizon.


• Explore local villages and learn about daily life in Inner Mongolia.


Time: 2 hours.


Afternoon


Singing Sand Ravine (Resonant Sand Gorg):

A part of the Gobi Desert, where the sand produces a melodic sound as you walk on it.


• Optional: Try sandboarding or a camel ride through the dunes.


Time: 2-3 hours.


Evening


Journey

Return to Hohhot.


Time: 2.5-3 hours.


Night Markets:

Optional free time to explore Hohhot’s night markets.


Time: 1 hour..

Day 4

Departure


Morning


Five Pagoda Temple (Wuta Si) 

A unique Buddhist structure blending Chinese, Mongolian, and Indian architectural styles.


Time: 1-1.5 hours.


Saishang Old Street

A preserved area showcasing traditional Mongolian and Han architecture, perfect for souvenir shopping and local snacks.


Time: 1-2 hours.


Afternoon


Transfer to the airport or train station for departure.


Time: 1-2 hours (depending on distance).
